Bayside specializes in Psychiatric Service Dogs, Mobility Assistance Dogs, Autism Assistance Dogs, and Hearing Alert Service Dogs. We are able to serve children, civilians, and veterans with a life-saving canine partner at no cost. Our program dogs complete 4 stages of training: Puppy Curriculum, Intermediate Training, Advanced Training, & Specialized Training. They begin training around 8 weeks old and are placed between 20-24 months of age with their client. Every client goes through an extensive application and handling transfer process. We rely heavily on staff and training volunteers to train and place our highly skilled service dogs with their client. When the time comes for a placed Bayside Service Dog to retire, clients are eligible to apply for a Successor Dog if they choose. To learn more about our training process, click below.
